White House ‘welcomes’ congressional action on Islamic State

White House press secretary Josh Earnest said Friday the administration welcomes additional congressional support in combating the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, after lawmakers in the United Kingdom voted Friday to approve airstrikes of their own.
