US Tests Cruise Missile After INF Treaty Exit

A conventionally-configured, ground-launched cruise missile was tested at San Nicolas Island, California, Sunday, August 18, the Pentagon said. The missile hit its target after more than 500 kilometers of flight. This was the first such test since the United States pulled out of the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty earlier this month on the grounds that Moscow was violating the treaty.
