Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan Hosts EU Council President
European Council President Charles Michel held talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Istanbul, Saturday, January 11.
👉 The two were expected to discuss bilateral relations and regional crises, including Syria, Iran, Iraq and Libya.
Fighting is threatening to plunge Libya into violent chaos rivalling the 2011 conflict.
Both Russia and Turkey have been accused of exacerbating the crisis by giving military aid to its parties.
Turkey’s Parliament last week approved the deployment of troops to support the United Nations backed government. (AP)
