TRUMP’S REPUBLICAN CHALLENGERS ARE DELUSIONAL
The latest GOP presidential candidate to enter the 2024 nomination race is former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson. He joins President Donald Trump, entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy and former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley as announced 2024, Republican presidential candidates.
On Sunday’s ABC’s This Week program, Hutchinson said, “I’m going to run for President of the United States…people want leaders that appeal to the best of America and not simply appeal to our worst instincts.” He claimed that Americans want “common sense, consistent conservatism, and optimism about our great country…I believe I can be that kind of leader for the people of America.”
Hutchinson imagines he can win support as the anti-Trump candidate. However, despite traveling across the country for the last six months, Hutchinson does not register even one percent in an average ranking of recent GOP presidential polls.
The latest poll, conducted by Yahoo News/YouGov showed President Trump with a commanding 52-21% lead over his nearest rival, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, a presumed GOP candidate. It also showed all the other announced or potential candidates with 5% or less support.
These results demonstrate the difficulty that the non-Trump candidates will have in the upcoming presidential race. Trump generates a huge amount of media attention that dwarfs the other candidates, even DeSantis. As a President and media celebrity for decades, Trump has universal name recognition, while some of the GOP presidential candidates are unknown to a large percentage of Republican voters.
After an unprecedented and deranged indictment in New York City that was orchestrated by Alvin Bragg, a left-wing prosecutor funded by George Soros, Trump will receive even more support from the GOP faithful. For example, in the first two days after the indictment was announced, Trump collected more than $5 million in donations from supporters.
This support level will only grow in the days and weeks ahead. Grassroots Republicans who believe in the “America First” message of President Trump will rally behind him after this latest attack. This support was evident in the hours after the indictment when pro-Trump crowds gathered outside his Mar-a-Lago home.
While attempting to derail another Trump White House campaign, his Democrat and Deep State enemies have been exposed once again for their unrelenting hatred of the former President. The latest indictment reminds Republican voters of the continual targeting Trump has received since the day he launched his first presidential campaign in 2015.
In the last eight years, Trump has been surveilled, harassed, investigated, impeached (twice), raided by the FBI, treated unfairly by the dishonest liberal media, and ultimately indicted. Trump’s indictment in New York City is the first time in American history a former or current President has been charged with a crime.
If anything, the so-called crime was a misdemeanor offense. An investigation had already been conducted by Bragg’s predecessor and federal prosecutors who refused to charge Trump in this case.
No wonder, in a recent poll, only 30% of Americans believe the charges against Trump are fair. In fact, former Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz called the indictment, “targeting and weaponizing not the American way of justice.” Overall, he believes the Trump indictment is “a very sad day for justice.”
This view is not shared by new GOP hopeful Asa Hutchinson, who believes the presidency is “more important” than Donald Trump. He hopes that Trump exits the presidential race because of this indictment. According to Hutchinson, the indictment is “too much of a sideshow and distraction.” He wants Trump to “concentrate on his due process” not another presidential campaign.
Unfortunately for Hutchinson, Trump will not exit the campaign, he is too much of a fighter. He is also doing very well despite the constant harassment. Along with his great poll numbers, raising massive amounts of money, holding successful rallies, naming campaign leaders in key states, and issuing an array of policy statements, Trump has lined up influential endorsements from 37 U.S. House Republicans and 5 U.S. Senate Republicans.
This support is impressive and is likely to continue to grow despite what the Democrats and Deep State have lined up for President Trump. If Bragg fails to convict Trump in New York City, Trump-hating Democrats have backup plans.
There is another Special Counsel, appointed by U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland, looking at potential charges against President Trump regarding the January 6th protests and the classified documents found at Mar-a-Lago. There has also been a grand jury convened in far-left Fulton County, Georgia to investigate potential election interference by Trump in the 2020 election.
Thus, Democrats have several traps waiting for Trump to prevent him from serving another White House term. However, as he often notes, “they’re not after me, they’re after you.” Our country’s dominant elite class does not want an outsider as President again, especially one who aims to take power away from the federal government and give it back to the American people where it belongs.
All of Trump’s presidential nomination challengers will have difficulty raising enough money, public support, and media attention to defeat a candidate who is uniquely skilled for this type of competition. All doubters need only investigate the history of the 2016 campaign for the Republican presidential nomination.
At first, Trump was ridiculed and then lambasted for his views. Instead of apologizing, he did something few Republicans ever do, he counter-attacked and refused to back down. Republican voters embraced his style and message, and the rest is history.
It will take more than positive mainstream media coverage for Trump’s GOP opponents to prevail. They are not only challenging one of the 45 individuals to ever serve as President of the United States, but they are also attempting to defeat a person who has achieved legendary status.
Donald Trump is not only a candidate for President, but he also represents the Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement which is one of the strongest in American history. MAGA is epitomized by one man, and he is not going to relinquish his position anytime soon.
