Trump Says Boris Johnson Win Could Be ‘Harbinger’ of What’s to Come in US

President Donald Trump said, Friday, December 13, that British Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s recent victory in the United Kingdom’s general election will benefit U.S. trade with the nation and may be a ‘harbinger’ of what’s to come in the U.S. election.
“I want to congratulate Boris Johnson on a terrific victory. I think that might be a harbinger of what’s to come in our country, it was last time,” Trump said at the White House.
Results from the 650 parliamentary constituencies around the United Kingdom showed that Johnson’s Conservative Party had trounced its main opponent, winning 365 seats to the Labour Party’s 203, the best win for the Conservatives since 1987. (Reuters)
