President Trump and congressional leaders failed again to reach a deal to end the partial government shutdown, with both sides signaling a deadlock over their positions on funding for the U.S.-Mexico border wall. The president has assigned a working group to negotiate with lawmakers over the weekend, but said that he is prepared to continue the shutdown for months, even years.
