Trump Border Czar Unveils Plans for Dealing with Protests, Deportations in Exclusive Interview with Real America’s Voice

Homan: “President Trump proves to me every day why I consider him the greatest president of my lifetime.”

Washington, D.C./February 11, 2025 – Tom Homan, President Trump’s Border Czar, told Real America’s Voice that the federal government is working with local law enforcement to identify lawbreakers at far-left protests to determine whether the offenders are illegal immigrants subject to deportation.

"Homeland Security investigators are working with local law enforcement agencies to find out, are they violating local law, and if [so] why aren’t they taking local action, because once they take action and book them in jail then that opens the door for us to check their immigration status,” Homan explained in an exclusive interview with Brian Glenn outside the White House. “People need to understand that we can’t just walk up to a group of protesters and start asking about their immigration status. We’ve got to have reasonable suspicion, by law, to question them.”

Homan added that he’s also working closely with the Justice Department to identify whether protesters may have committed any federal violations, which would empower federal agents to make arrests.

Asked by RAV correspondent Brian Glenn to comment on the precipitous drop in illegal immigration since President Trump took office, Homan professed to be “very pleased” with the results, calling the current level of illegal immigration a “historic” low since he first started as a Border Patrol agent in 1984.

“President Trump proves to me every day why I consider him the greatest president of my lifetime,” Homan said. “This is unprecedented, his success on the border.”
