Trees Downed, Cars Damaged in Heavy Storms in Poland
Severe weather affecting southern Poland has toppled trees and left some 26,000 households without electricity, authorities said Tuesday, July 2.
Strong winds, rainfall and hailstorms damaged 20 buildings in the southern Silesia province – the worst affected area – where firefighters were called to come out 600 times on Monday for issues related to the weather alone, according to the spokesman of Poland’s fire service.
