West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey says former President Donald Trump’s hush money trial was never going to see a fair outcome when the prosecution’s case was born from “unpure, political motive.” “It makes you really deeply disturbed because you want to make sure that the rule of law is upheld in all cases. You want to make sure that the system’s working the way it should. And when everything’s colored by politics at the beginning, you can’t get to a just result,” he says.
