The MAGA Party Starts Soon… Here’s What’s in Store for Trumpapalooza
Trumpapalooza kicks off Saturday, and while most of us mere mortals are stuck on the sidelines, we can still get in on the action Monday with our own shindig during the inauguration of President Number 47.
Picture this: pizza, chips, wings, and for the true patriots, a Trump-sized Big Mac feast – with a Diet Coke, naturally – because even when it’s over the top, we’re all about balance, right? So grab your favorite snacks and some Trump MAGA gear you have in your house and get ready for a day of celebration.
Here’s what’s going on in Trumpland in the lead-up to the BIGLY inauguration on Monday…
On Saturday, a Trump reception and fireworks are set to take place at his national golf club in Virginia as well as a Cabinet reception and the Vice President’s dinner in Washington, D.C. Sunday begins with a solemn wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery, followed by Trump’s “Make America Great Again Victory Rally” at 3 p.m. at the Capital One Arena in D.C. Following the rally, Trump will end the day at a candlelit dinner where he will deliver remarks at the National Building Museum in DC.
Inauguration day.
Finally. The day we’ve all been waiting for – when Biden and friends get the boot and Orange Man Bad is back in charge. Monday, January 30th. MAGA DAY.
The day kicks off at 5 AM with security screening gates opening for early birds ready to witness history. President-elect Trump and First Lady Melania will begin their morning at St. John’s Church in Lafayette Square, attending a nonpartisan service led by Rev. Robert W. Fisher. Episcopal by design but open to all, the service aims to unite a divided nation – or at least try.
Post-prayers, Trump will head to the White House for a spot of tea with outgoing President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden. Melania will reportedly be a no show. Don’t blame her.
Off to the Capitol…
By 9:30 AM, the West Lawn of the Capitol will hum with live music and opening remarks. Then the procession to the Capitol – where the outgoing and incoming presidents share a ride (wouldn’t you LOVE to be in THAT vehicle?!)
Country superstar Carrie Underwood is set to perform America the Beautiful, with opera singer Christopher Macchio delivering the national anthem. Underwood’s participation comes despite recent shade thrown her way by Joy Behar on The View, proving once again that Carrie’s vocal cords are unbothered by daytime drama divas who have nothing else going on in their lives other than Trump- hating.
Swearing in and signing stuff.
The swearing-in ceremony begins at 12:00 noon EST with JD Vance taking the oath of office first, followed by Trump’s big moment. With the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court officiating, Trump will recite the presidential oath before delivering his inaugural address, outlining his vision for the nation.
The theme of the inauguration? “Our Enduring Democracy: A Constitutional Promise.” That sets the tone for a day filled with tradition, pomp and circumstance.
World leaders and former presidents including Barack Obama, George W. Bush, and Bill Clinton will witness the ceremony. However, Michelle Obama will be MIA. She apparently is DONE with the whole thing and all of the politics – or she’s done with her husband – and will pout at home alone.
Following the ceremony, President Biden and Jill Biden will board a helicopter departing the Capitol, marking the official end of their term.
GOOD RIDDANCE!!!!!
Lunch and important work.
Trump’s first official act will take place in the President’s Room, where he’ll sign nominations, memorandums, or executive orders. A luncheon in Statuary Hall will follow. Then a President’s Review of the Troops.
The parade.
At 3 PM, the inaugural parade down Pennsylvania Avenue begins. Ceremonial regiments, floats, and marching bands will lead the way to the White House. Trump and Vance, along with their families and guests, will review the procession from the Presidential Reviewing Stand.
A group of police officers and EMTs who responded to the assassination attempt in Butler will lead the parade. There will also be a Belgian horse named Trump in the parade, part of a team pulling a striking red wagon with white wheels down the road.
Dancing into the night.
The day concludes with three official inaugural balls: the Commander-in-Chief Ball, the Liberty Inaugural Ball, and the Starlight Ball. These invitation-only, black-tie affairs will feature speeches by Trump and Vance and performances by country and pop artists, making it a night to remember for those lucky enough to attend. The Village People will also be performing “YMCA” at an inaugural eve ball hosted by Turning Point USA. For me, that would DEFINITELY be the one to go to.
Saddle up for the show.
Whether you’re a fan of Trump, horses, country music, or just a good spectacle, the inauguration promises to deliver. The party is two-fold: celebrating Trump and celebrating booting Biden and his idiot co-conspirators to destroy the country to the curb. PARTY ON, PEOPLE!
