Retired Col. Derek Harvey says that the Biden administration, since Oct. 7, has tried to manage the conflict in the Middle East to make sure Hamas survives and that their engagement with Iran survives. "They are trying to prevent Israel from doing what is necessary to achieve a strategic victory that, by the way, would be in American interests, and it would be in our friends' and allies' in the region's interests," Harvey said. "It would rebound to supporting us economically and from a security perspective in the area."
