Solar Street Lamps Light Villages in India
Vast areas in India, especially hill and rural areas have limited access to the electricity grid. As part of its big push to expand solar energy, India is now lighting up such areas with tens of thousands of solar street lamps. Anjana Pasricha reports how the initiative benefits a small rural hamlet in the northern state of Himachal Pradesh.
