‘Shark Cam’ Offers New Look at Life of Basking Shark

Britain’s first autonomous “Shark Cam” has been unleashed in Scottish waters, capturing the secret lives of basking sharks on camera. The camera was deployed in the Inner Hebrides off the west coast of Scotland in July, and filmed the interactions of the world’s second-largest fish. The camera is able to track sharks once they have been tagged and disappear underwater, capturing wide-angle, high-definition video of sharks at a safe distance.
