PRESIDENTS' DAY IS “DISRESPECTFUL” TO WASHINGTON?
Richard Battle says Washington’s Birthday and Lincoln’s Birthday were combined into Presidents Day in 1971, calling it “so disrespectful” because it “makes them equal with the other presidents.” He argues we should celebrate Washington “on the 22nd” and Lincoln “on the 12th.”
