People Evacuate Mall After Deadly Shooting Rampage in Thailand

A Thai soldier killed at least 20 people in a shooting rampage and injuring at least 31, Saturday, February 8, in the city of Nakhon Ratchasima in the northeast of Thailand, authorities said.

Police and soldiers stormed the Terminal 21 mall and helped hundreds of people to escape, but the gunman was still at large inside, Defense Ministry spokesperson Kongcheep Tantrawanit said.

He said it was unclear whether the gunman had taken hostages inside the shopping mall, where he is still thought to be at large.
