Partially Collapsed Dam in Derbyshire, England
A chinook helicopter was seen dropping off sand bags, Friday, August 2, in Derbyshire, England, which was evacuated a day earlier over fears that a rain-damaged dam could collapse.
British police ordered the evacuation Thursday of the 6,500 residents of Whaley.
The Derbyshire Police force said residents of Whaley Bridge should leave their homes immediately because of the “significant threat to life.” (AP)
