Nigerian National Assembly Put On Lockdown After Violent Protests
Nigera’s National Assembly was put on lockdown after shots were fired outside during clashes between police and a group of Shiite Muslim protesters, Tuesday, July 9. Two officers were shot and wounded in the legs, while six other officers were injured by clubs and stones. Both sides are blaming the other for the violence.
