Last California Gray Wolf Pack Grows With Three New Pups

Three wolf pups, new additions to the only Gray Wolf pack in California, United States, are seen playing and howling while trailing behind one of the pack’s adult wolves in the Northern California woods, Tuesday, June 18. The Lassen County pack consists of two or three adults or yearlings and three pups. Wildlife officials say that the Gray Wolf is native to California but was nearly wiped out in the 1920s. (AP)
