IRS Whistleblower Gary Shapley: Prosecutors Allowed Hunter Biden 2014 Tax Evasion Charge to Expire
IRS whistleblower Special Agent Gary Shapley says Hunter Biden was facing felonies related to tax evasion dating back to 2014, including failing to pay taxes on $400,000 in income he received from Ukrainian energy firm Burisma Holdings. Shapley says that when U.S. Attorney David Weiss’ request for Special Counsel was denied, the statute of limitations expired on the charges. “There’s no legal remedy to go and get that money, unless he does it voluntarily,” says Shapley.
