Trump 2020 Communications Director Tim Murtaugh explains why former President Donald Trump’s process for picking his running mate is much different this election than in 2016. “I’m not sure that a guy who has been president already one time very recently—and I think you could make a pretty good case that he is the most famous human on the planet—I'm not sure that he needs a vice presidential pick to come in and give him something that he doesn’t already have,” he says. “Because everyone is, I think, basically 100% familiar with Donald Trump.”
