House Republicans Must Declare the January 6 Committee Was Illegitimate
David Schoen, lead counsel for President Trump's second impeachment trial, says the Colorado Supreme Court relied on the January 6 Committee Report to say the events of that day constituted an insurrection. "That was an absolutely sham committee with a chair of the committee who just before he became chair sued Donald Trump personally, claiming Trump was responsible for the events of Jan. 6 and the Chair Bennie Thompson's personal injuries," Schoen said. "How on Earth could that person be the head of an investigative committee, and how could any court credit a report from that kind of sham committee?"
