Flash Floods Ravage Switzerland Alps After Heavy Rain

Heavy rain triggered mudslides and flash flooding in the Swiss Alps, Monday, August 12 and over the previous weekend. Video posted online shows a wave of water, mud and debris rushing down the Losentze River near the village of Chamoson.

A man and a 6-year-old girl have been missing since Sunday after their car was swept away in a flash flood. More than 70 rescuers searched for them overnight. Police said Monday they have little hope of finding the two alive.
