Fire and Smoke Fill Air as Fire Service Battles Alaska Wildfires
The sky turned orange and the air filled with smoke as wildfires raged near Rampart, Alaska.
The video, filmed by the Bureau of Land Management Alaska Fire Service the week of July 18 to 25, shows
smoke from central Alaska wildfires engulfing the city of Fairbanks with some of the world’s worst air pollution in recent days,. Many residents stayed indoors and one hospital to set up a “clean air shelter.” (Reuters)
