The U.S. Senate is moving toward a final showdown over the nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh for the Supreme Court. Kavanaugh's nomination was thrown into turmoil after Christine Blasey Ford accused him of sexual assault when they were both teenagers in the 1980s. Kavanaugh has denied the allegation.
