Around 700 Passengers Rescued From Train Stuck in Floods Near Mumbai
Around 700 people were rescued from a train stranded in monsoon waters on the outskirts of India’s financial capital Mumbai, a railway official said on Saturday, July 27.
Local media reported that the passengers had been stranded on the Mahalaxmi Express train in Badlapur region since Friday night, July 26 as water-logging triggered by incessant rain covered the railway tracks and partially submerged the train.
